On a clear day ☀️ this unique observatory offers panoramic views, including Mt. Washington, Mt. Jefferson, the South, North, and Middle Sister, and even Mt. Hood! 🏔️
Do not miss the paved, accessible, interpretive Lava River National Recreation Trail - we had a blast on this winding 1/2 mile walk. 🥾

Cove Palisades State Park
Description goes hereOverlooked in Oregon:📍The Cove Palisades State Park.
Hit save 💾 for a future day trip! Only 2.5 hours from Portland. #pdx
We were totally blown away by the beautiful expansiveness of this state park. Here’s our suggestion for how to spend a half-day there in the off-season:
🛻 Drive SW Jordan Road from bridge to bridge for scenic overlooks and views of the river.
🥾 Hike the 2 mile Crooked River Rim Trail for sweeping views of the Cascade Range.
🌊 Access the river at any of the dog-friendly day use areas. Bring a picnic!
☀️🚤💨 During the busy summer months add boating recreation to your list and make it a full day!
➡️ Have you visited The Cove Palisades State Park yet?!

Mt. Hood Boondocking
This was one of the most memorable sunrises we’ve seen together. ☀️ It was amazing to open the RV door to this view and to have an alpine stream wake us up alongside our morning coffee. We absolutely can’t wait to return to this boondocking spot!
➡️ Who wants to camp here with us next time?!
